【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesthesafetyrequirementsand/ormeasurestoremovethehazardsandlimittherisksonreciprocatinginternalcombustioncompressionignitionenginesofgroupⅡcategories2and3foruseinflammabledustatmospheres.Thestandarddoesnotdefinerequirementsrelatingtothedrivenmachinery.Theserequirementscanbefoundintheappropriateapplicationstandards.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytoenginesusedinpremisesfortheprocessing,manufactureorstorageofexplosives.ThesafetyrequirementsforenginesforuseinpotentiallyexplosiveatmospheresforundergroundapplicationsaregiveninEN1834-2:2000.ThesafetyrequirementsforenginesforuseinflammablegasandvapouratmospheresaregiveninEN1834-1:2000.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytosparkignitionengines.Thehazardsapplicablearelistedinclause4andrelatetotheadditionalhazardsofoperationinanatmospherethatmaybecomeexplosive.Thetestswhichtheengineanditsancillaryfittingsarerequiredtoundergotoverifycompliancewiththisspecificationaredetailedinthisstandard.Generalsafetyrequirementsi.e.thosecommontoallRICengines,arecoveredinEN1679-1:1998.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletoengineswhicharemanufacturedafterthedateofissueofthisstandard.
