【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthecompositionandphysicalpropertiesofexpandedorexfoliatedvermiculiteloosefillinsulation.Thespecificationalsoincludesthetestingproceduresbywhichtheacceptabilityofthematerialshallbedetermined.Thesetestingproceduresdealprimarilywithmaterialperformanceinthetemperaturerangeassociatedwiththethermalenvelopeofbuildings;however,thecommerciallyusabletemperaturerangeforthisinsulationisfromx2212;119to850x00B0;F(x2212;84to454x00B0;C).Forspecializedapplications,refertomanufacturer''sinstructions.1.2Thespecificationalsocoversthecompositionandpropertiesofvermiculitethathasbeensurface-treatedtoproducewaterrepellencyforinstallations.1.3Whentheinstallationoruseofthermalinsulationmaterials,accessories,andsystemsmayposesafetyorhealthproblems,themanufacturershallprovidetheuserwithappropriatecurrentinformationregardinganyknownproblemsassociatedwiththerecommendeduseofthecompany''sproducts,andshallalsorecommendprotectivemeasurestobeemployedintheirsafeutilization.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection12.
